The CW’s “Supernatural” series is slated for its twelfth installment and its latest spoilers couldn’t be more thrilling as Warrior Castiel is slated for his highly anticipated comeback plus Lucifer’s new look is no less than a cool dude.
“Supernatural” Season 12 Puts Emphasis on Castiel
Arguably, long time supporters of the paranormal drama tv show greatly missed the angelic Castiel. We got good news to bite here as Castiel’s return is bolder, bigger and better.
New showrunner Andrew Dabb mentioned to Entertainment Weekly their plans of featuring Castiel on the show.
“This year, especially toward the middle of the season, we’re using Castiel in stand-alone episodes in a way that he hasn’t been used in a long time.”
According to reports, Misha Collins (Castiel), his dream of seeing his character back in full action has been realized.
"I'd kind of like to see him go back to being the badass warrior Cas from Season 4 for a little bit, and revisit that aspect of his character. Every time I've said what I wanted on the show in the past, it has not come to fruition. So, I thought that wasn't going to happen but that's how we're starting Season 12," Collins explained.
Rumors have it that Castiel is geared for more action as he returns with vengeance.
Rick Springfield Accepts The Lucifer Role
1980s rocker and actor Rick Springfield takes the devil challenge when he signed a deal with hit series “Supernatural” as Lucifer.
In an interview with Billboard, Springfield shares a glimpse of his role.
"I play this rock guy who gets possessed by Lucifer, because Lucifer has just escaped from wherever they put him last season," Springfield mentioned.
"He's always looking for a human host to do this bad stuff to the world, and I happen to be that human host. It's really fun, well-written. And the effects are insane; the other day I spent two hours in the makeup chair getting ready for this one scene. It's really incredible stuff," elaborated by the Grammy award –winner for his single “Jessie’s Girl”
“Supernatural” Season 6 premieres on October 13.
