Gamers who want to experience horror and thrill will definitely succumb into the new 'Friday the 13th' game. Developers said that they have no plans of limiting the dreadfulness of the famous title. Its new trailer was released at PAX West and is dubbed to be brutal and unsettling. The death scenes are appalling, such as Jason pushing an eyeball into the face of a person followed by a stabbing of the neck. The game executes the horrid killing spree of its main character, Jason Voorhees.
According to Game Rant, developer Gun Media was contacted by Sean Cunningham and by other Friday the 13th franchise rights holders. The rights for the Friday the 13th were given for free, thus leading into its birth as a game. The game was called Slasher Vol 1: Summer Camp, before it was transformed into Friday the 13th.
According to Gamespot, Friday the 13th is a multiplayer game. One person may choose to play Jason, while other players can play as the campers. Ghastly murders were shown in the trailer such as piercing the campers with a pitchfork, burning them in a fireplace, and hacking them using a machete. Fans who find horror scenes entertaining will surely enjoy the trailer. Tom Savini, who is a special effects artist and an actor, worked as an executive producer in this game. He has helped in developing the cinematography, as well as developing some of the killing techniques of Jason in the survival round.
Gun Media may soon include a single player mode of the game. Should this happen, co-creator Wes Keltner said that the player can still choose what role he has to play in the game. It is now also said to be one of the most anticipated horror games of 2016. "Friday the 13th: The Game"'s tentative launch will be on October 2016. It will available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
