Sorry "Harry Potter" fans. It seems like Warner Bros. has no plans of making a "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" movie.
Nine years after "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" were published, many believe that it was the end of Harry's story. Much to the Potterhead's delight, J.K Rowling approved a two-part play called "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child."
The story has a complex plot that is set nineteen years after the Deathly Hallows left off. The book still has the fan's beloved trio: Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley. Its story follows an older Harry with his child Albus Severus.
Seconds after the play was announced, there were already speculations that the new story will soon be made into a movie. Reports were even written that it will be made into a trilogy and will be shown on the silver screen by 2020 with Daniel Radcliffe still as Harry Potter.
Now for the bad news. Huffington Post reported that a rep from Warner Bros. emailed them that there will be no "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" movie.
Here are the exact words from the Warner Bros. reps' email, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child' is a stage play, with no plans for them to be a film."
But fear not Potterheads! You can still see the story come to life on stage in London. And rumor has it that the show might expand to other countries as well.
Furthermore, another J.K. Rowling story will be shown on the silver screen titled, "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" which is set seventy years before Harry Potter went to Hogwarts. It follows the story of a character named Newt Scamander during his adventures with a secret community of witches and wizards.
The new "Harry Potter" related movie will be released on Nov. 18, 2016.
