Pokemon Go Tips: Collect 2nd Generation Pokemon Candies Now Before It’s Too Late

Pokemon Go players should start collecting these 2nd Generation Pokemon candies now. Once the new Pokemon are released, trainers could evolve them more quickly.

2nd Generation Pokemon To Watch For

Espereon and Umbreon - Either 2nd Generation Pokemon will require at least 25 Eeevee candies to evolve. The upcoming Espereon can have a maximum CP of 1911 while the Umbreon can have a CP of up to 1938, according to Ranked Boost.

Blissey - It's the 2nd Generation form of Chansey and has a potential CP of 921. It's not a tough fighter compared to other Pokemon but it's rare and kind of cute. Collect 50 Chansey candies to evolve one in the future.

Porygon 2 - Its Generation 1 predecessor, Porygon is quite rare. Collecting 50 Porygon candies though would be worth it considering the Porygon 2 has a maximum CP of 2290.

Steelix - This stage 2 Pokemon has a potential CP of up to 1754. Players would only need to collect 50 Onix candies although they could be difficult to find.

Kingdra - this upcoming 2nd Generation Pokemon has a maximum CP of 2300 and will require 100 Horsea candies.

Crobat - It has a maximum CP of 1997 which is a substantial improvement from the Golbat's 1921 CP. Their ancestor, the Zubat is quite common in Pokemon Go although catching them can be tricky. Evolving this particular Pokemon will require 100 Zubat candies.

Slowking - This upcoming second stage Pokemon will be among the strongest with a potential CP of 2232. The Slowking would likely require at least 100 Slowpoke candies.

Other 2nd Generation Pokemon worth gathering candies for includes the Feraligatr, Meganium, Typhlosion, Urasring, Octillery and the Tyranitar.

Pokemon Second Generation Launch Date

Niantic has yet to set a definite launch date. But the Pokemon Go app developer has assured that they will be release soon. It is not also clear if the Legendary Pokemon will also be launch at the same time.
