Overwatch fans are awaiting the appearance of Sombra in the game. The "A moment in crime" update site seems to hint that the mysterious character will show up on October 16 or 17 this year.
"A moment in crime" Site Update
The momentincrime site currently indicates a little over 22 percent as of press time. An Overwatch observer estimated that the counter seems to increase by around 0.0038 percent every three minutes according to an earlier iTechPost report.
The YouTube presenter also noticed that the site's source code seem to indicate that the timer is being updated manually although the use of an outside script updating the site's timer is also a possibility. Nevertheless, the consistency of the timer led him and others to believe that Sombra will appear on October 16 or 17 at the latest.
The October 16 release date is merely speculation but in the absence of any viable clues. This is the best hint that Sombra ARG investigator could present at the moment. The rumored date can change if the site's timer slows down or speeds up.
Who is Sombra?
Little information has been revealed about Sombra. Her real name and age is unknown. It is rumored though that she is of Mexican nationality and has an operation in Dorado. She is believed to be a computer hacker and cryptography expert as well. Reaper seems to know her well.
Developer's Thought on Sombra
Overwatch game director Jeff Kaplan told Eurogamer sometime ago that they had dropped many hints about Sombra in the game. He also said that Overwatch fans should expect further hints to come in the near future. It seems Blizzard Entertainment and the Overwatch development team is contended to let the gaming fans gather all the tidbits of information they can about the upcoming Sombra. Hopefully, fans would still be interested in Sombra when she comes out.
