Vizio, widely known for manufacturing HDTVs, is ready to make a foray in the PC market. The company showed off All-In-One desktops (AIOs) and laptops on Thursday.
The company revealed three different Windows computers: all-in-one PCs and laptops and ultrabooks. The popular HDTV manufacturing company announced its plan at CES, in Las Vegas earlier this year. The company also revealed some tablets but is known as a strong competitor in the TV market. The PC market is already crowded with popular companies, but Vizio is hoping to make a strong base here.
Matt McRae, Vizio's CTO presented the new systems at the New York launch event. He also discussed how there is a dearth of standout design while presenting his new products.
The AIOs are available in two different screen size, 24'' and 27''. They're packed with Ivy Bridge processor, NVidia's Kepler GPU with dual HDMI inputs. People can enjoy 1080p HD displays with 2.1 audio. They are available in market with a starting price tag of $898. The company also presented 15.6'' notebooks featuring 1080p HD resolution with the same price tag.
People interested in buying ultrabooks can take a look at the 14'' and 15.6'' inch models presented by Vizio. The ultra-slim devices offer HDMI outputs and will remind you of Apple MacBook Air's design. They feature USB 3.0 ports and 256GB SSD. They carry price tag of $898 upwards.
