“One Direction” alum Zayn Malik has a new menu on his plate and this significant venture draws a huge interest among TV viewers especially that of the singer’s fans.
The English artist is set to create a new TV series that will have a touch of his singing career spent with his former group “One Direction.” Most likely the drama features the boy band’s dreams and their road to success that is forecasted to excite, thrill and entertain its audience.
The upcoming show titled "Boys" will be produced by “Law & Order” genius Dick Wolf and his wife, Noelle Wolf. The script will be penned by the creators of The CW's “Beauty and the Beast,” Sherri Cooper Landsman and Jennifer Levin.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Malik is beyond stunned to collaborate an amazing project with Wolf and NBC.
“Dick Wolf is a legend and the opportunity to work with him and NBC to create a compelling drama series is awesome,” Malik said.
Meanwhile, E News reported that NBC Entertainment President Jennifer Salke has good words on the “Pillowtalk” hitmaker. In fact, she admires the reliable outlook that Zayn will contribute to the new show.
"Zayn certainly brings an authentic point of view to this world where kids are catapulted into fame at a dizzying speed. On top of our excitement around the creative ideas being discussed, we have a lot of respect for the musical and digital ambitions behind the project," Salke elaborated.
It would be a dream series for “One Direction” followers if Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Liam Payne, and Louis Tomlinson reunite with Malik on this grand project.
To recall, Malik abruptly departed from the band last year. Currently he is engage with his solo recording contract with RCA records that paved way for his blockbuster album “Mind of Mine.”
