ABC’s fourth installment of the superhero series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” is barely two weeks away from its release date and current season’s synopsis reveals major changes that will blow you away.
Phil Coulson A Director No More
The upcoming season will take a twist of events. Jason O’Mara will play the mysterious new S.H.I.E.L.D. director, replacing Phil Coulson. Coulson is expected to reprise his role as an agent and will team up with Mack in tracking down the Inhumans.
In a related report of iTech Post, it was mentioned that the finale of season 3 showed the victory of Coulson and his agents when they battled with Hive. However, it resulted to his unlikely departure from his position.
As O’Mara takes the lead, will he be able to supervise the agents strategically including Phil? Is it possible that Phil reclaims his much coveted task as S.H.I.E.L.D. ‘s leader?
Ghost Rider Flames With Retaliation
Showrunner Jed Whedon told Entertainment Weekly about their concept of Ghost Rider in the persona of “True Detective” star Gabriel Luna.
“As always, we are going to put our own spin on the character. We are staying true to the comics in the places where we feel like it’s really important — we love the character’s family dynamic and the East L.A. kid in him.”
Ghost Rider’s introduction in the latest season is up for chaos and riots hence a bumpy adventurous ride awaits the agents.
“It started out with a guy building a suit using science, and then we met aliens that are the origin of the myths behind some of our gods, and this year Doctor Strange comes out. We’re opening it up even further to the world of things we don’t totally understand, or as Thor says, ‘Magic is science that we don’t understand.’ Well, we’re getting into some very, very fancy science,” Jed elaborated.
