iPhone 5: Top 5 Most Wanted Features

Launch of a "fast, powerful and gorgeous" Galaxy S3 has made the smartphone world go gaga over the latest Samsung device. But we are always thirsty for something more and this time we are eagerly waiting for Apple's next generation iPhone, popularly dubbed iPhone 5.

While rumors are flying high about various features and release date of the next iPhone, what are the features that top your Wishlist?

Check out the 5 features that top our list! Note, the ranking has not been done in accordance with significance.

5. Bigger Display: Nowadays smartphone makers are following the 'bigger the better' rule and all the latest phones are coming with sizes that can make any 3.5-inch screen sized phone look a dwarf. Even all the smartphone admirers are getting used to handle bigger Android and Windows phone. This time, reports from inside sources also suggest that the Cupertino based tech giant is also planning to make it a bigger 4-inch display.

4. Expandable Memory: A feature that's missing and missed by so many Apple iPhone users! While the company claims to have given good memory options ranging from 16GB to 64GB, Apple users still want an option for expanding the existing memory in the next generation iPhone 5.

3. Industry-standard Micro-USB connector: Apple should, this time, provide an industry-standard Micro-USB connector. While chances of seeing this feature is next to impossible, at least in iPhone 5, we still hope!

2. A6 processor: Quad-core processor is the new mantra in the tech world and all new phones are now flaunting the latest high speed processor. People expected to see the new A6 processor in the New iPad that was launched in March but they got to see only a minor update of the existing A5 - A5x - a bug fix.

This time hopes are high with the next generation iPhone that it will feature A6, a quad-core processor. Reportedly, A6 chip is a 28-nanometer process, as compared with the A5's 45nm, which will give higher speed with lower energy consumption. Faster processor will improve the performance of Siri, launch any powerful app faster and can also support the speculated Retina display.

Meanwhile, The Verge also reported that the next iPhone will have the rumored A6 processor that will clock in at superfast 1.2 to 1.5 GHz with 1GB or more of RAM offering amazing processing capabilities to the smartphone.

1. 4G network compatibility: We all are certain that 4G LTE feature will be packed in with the next iPhone. But Apple has to make the phone a little thicker to accommodate a larger circuit board and a bigger battery. This was the reason why Apple rejected the plan of implementing 4G LTE in its iPhone 4S. Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a company earnings conference call in April 2011, said, "First-generation LTE chipsets force a lot of design compromises."
