Speculations regarding the cancellation of "The Originals" were rampant after The CW made an announcement of its predecessor's ("The Vampire Diaries) end after Season 8. And the show having fewer episodes on its fourth season than what it had last time, hints that the season is coming to its end.
However, a source mentioned that the episode cut was more because of the show's change of pace and that season 4 will have more condensed storylines. Now, fans are more curious about what the fourth season has in store. Here's what we have gathered so far.
"The Original" Season 4 Spoilers
International Business Times reported that season 4 will begin after a five year jump from where season 3 left off. Due to the situation in the past five years, the relationship between Klaus and Marcel's relationship will be more than complicated. The show's executive producer Julie Plec was quoted saying, "The indignity of Klaus Mikaelson's situation the last five years held captive by his surrogate son and forced to be an advisor to a king that he does not recognize,"
Furthermore, she mentioned, "Also, Marcel is actually singularly responsible for the fact he's alive because so many people have come to town in the last five years desperate to see him reduced to ash." The situation that Klaus was in, will make him darker and have him seeking more blood. His daughter Hope is rumored to be the one to bring Klaus back to humanity.
Other rumors according to sources are the return of the Salvatore Brothers. Fans will remember that Stefan already met Klaus in New Orleans where they even shared a drink. Now, rumor has it the Stefan and Damon will make an appearance on season 4. Some even speculate that since "The Vampire Diaries" will end after the eighth season, the Salvatore brother might stay in New Orleans for good.
Fans will have to wait until 2017 to find out the release of "The Original" season 4.
