Fitbit Takes Away Number One Spot From Apple In Top Wearable Techs List

Fitbit seems to be on a roll this year when it won the case against Jawbone. Now, it ruled the top spot for wearable tech, moving Apple to the number three spot.

Gadget-maker Fitbit started the fitness band trend and consumers seem to be preferring it more over sophisticated smartwatches in the market. It seems that Fitbit has already won the hearts of consumers and it is winning against its competitors in the wearable gadget competition.

While Apple has the most potential in succeeding in this area of the market with their high-end technology, it seems like their charm is not working that well in the wearable gadget department. Apple's prices for the Apple Watch could be intimidating consumers whereas Fitbit is much more friendly to the budget.

Fitbit Stocks Increase While Apple Watch Sales Take A Plunge

Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit Alta impressed investors after both fitness bands kept raking in sales from new customers. In fact, Fitbit stocks shoot up by 13 percent last month. While Fitbit is enjoying the spike in revenue, Apple's sales took a dive and it just keeps dropping every quarter. Despite the tech giant's efforts to improve their own version of wearable techs, Apple is still cupping in the dark and trying to find their place in the market, says Headlines & Global News.

Fitbit Wins This Round While Apple Lands Third Spot In Top Wearable Tech List

Fitbit is still hailed as the undisputed king in the wearable tech industry. Fitbit took the crown home as the number one wearable gadget while Apple - despite its high-end features - landed the third spot in the Top Wearable Tech list. Lower-priced fitness bands such as Fitbit are much preferred by people with a healthy lifestyle, not just because it's more affordable but it seems like consumers prefer simple designs over smart wearables, according to CNBC.

While smartwatches are still trying to find their places in the market, they should not lose hope in making a break through or taking the top spot from Fitbit. Wearable techs that offer nonfitness features like calling, texting, gaming and mobile payments aren't recognized yet, these are promising products that will easily gain their popularity over time. It won't be long smartwatches find their way to the top of the best wearable tech list.
