Diablo 3: Patch 1.0.2c And Hotfixes – All You Need To Know

Blizzard Entertainment’s "Diablo 3" has made a massive ground for itself since its arrival in May. Before its release, the game broke several presale records and became the most pre-ordered PC game of all time on Amazon.com. “Diablo 3” also set the new all-time record for fastest-selling PC game by selling over 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release.

Later, "Diablo 3" became the best-selling game for the month of May, the first time since July 2010 that a PC-only game has accomplished this feat, according to data from NPD.

Since the game’s arrival, the developers have sent out a host of fixes and patches to make the gaming experience even better for the dedicated gamers. Here we will talk about all the updates and discuss everything you will need to know about them.

Patch 1.0.2c – v.1.0.2.9991

The “Diablo 3” patch 1.0.2c is already live in America and you can check out everything about it below.

Something to remember: It is important for you to note that you will not be prompted to download patch 1.0.2c until the patch is live in your home region. However, if you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after patch 1.0.2c is live until those regions have also patched.

There are two topics that you will need to concentrate on – General Fixes and Bug Fixes.

General

Note that the real-money auction house is now live. To access the real-money auction house, click on the "Auction House" button on the left side of the campaign screen, and then on the button showing your region's currency in the upper right corner of the auction house interface.

If the authentication service is busy, the login checkbox will wait at "Authenticating Credentials" until a player's login attempt can be processed. Now players should no longer encounter Error 37 when logging in.

Achievements have also been granted to players who previously completed their objectives, but were not correctly awarded completion credit.

Bug Fixes

The new bug fix, importantly, takes care of several crashes which occurred when clicking on player-generated item links in the game client.

And here is the list of Hotfixes that you should know about (Updated for June)

All the hotfixes have been made to address several issues with the gameplay. Some of the hotfixes below will go live the moment they are executed, while others may require you to restart your machine before it can make any changes. However, remember that some issues cannot be addressed without a client-side patch update. And finally, keep a lookout for more hotfixes that will be released in a few days.

Important: Note that if you have not yet completed Diablo 3 on Normal, some hotfixes in the list may include spoilers.

General Fix (June 8) –

Monster damage (in cooperative games) will no longer increase when additional players join the game. Note that monster health will still scale based on the number of players in a party.

Bug Fixes (June 8) –

Pots of ashes in Act I and vases in Act IV will now drop less gold when destroyed.

Fixes a bug where players could turn in the same quest repeatedly and always receive rewards as though they were completing the quest for the first time.

Tyrael no longer has collision when he is your active follower and his damage has been reduced.

Resplendant chests will no longer spawn in the Underbridge.

Bug Fixes (June 12) –

Players can no longer gain achievements (they have not earned) by joining a Public Game with someone who has earned those achievements.

Monks can no longer infinitely stack the damage buff from Combination Strike by changing weapons.
