The popularity of Netflix’ “Making a Murderer” is getting more intense just as the unfolding of the recent events that remarkably impacts the life of the highly accused Steven Avery. Rumors say he will be proven guilty despite the scrupulous efforts of his legal counsel in gathering new witnesses to exonerate him.
A related article of iTech Post noted that the second installment of “Making a Murderer” is highly anticipated to put emphasis on the significant updates on the case of Avery led by his new lawyer Kathleen Zellner.
Zellner, who specializes in wrongful convictions, requested access to a long list of physical proof and have them re-examined carefully through modern scientific tests. The same report mentioned that Zellner is confident that Avery will be proven innocent.
It seems that the attorney stands credible on her job. Her recent Twitter post drops major hints that they have an edge on Avery’s case and that the truth will prevail. Her tweet says, “Crucial witnesses coming forward now-as they always do when new scientific testing sought. Science not spin will rule.”
The “crucial witnesses” claimed by Zellner are greatly believed to help in solving the case of Steven.
A native of Wisconsin, Steven was purportedly framed in November 2005 up for the killing of a young photographer Teresa Halbach and was sentenced to life imprisonment in 2007.
The frame-up was said to be a potential revenge to question the $36 million civil lawsuit Avery filed against Manitowoc County and its officials when he was released from jail in 2003 due to a wrongful conviction. It also led to controversial debates between the prosecution and defense, with 500,000 people petitioning for US President Barack Obama to pardon Avery.
The legal process is painstaking and time consuming. Followers of the hit documentary series are with high hopes for truth to come out.
