F1 champion Michael Schumacher continues to be a living legacy of strength and success despite the tragic skiing event that altered his life. His family, friends and worldwide supporters remain positive that the German race driver would emerge strong in these difficult times.
In a prior article of iTech Post, it was mentioned that the health update of Schumacher remains limited as his family wishes to keep their maximum privacy. We can only rely to significant people in his career for general statements about his current medical condition.
The same post noted that Michael’s first sponsor, Gerd Krämer, dubbed as the “puppet master” of Formula 1, said that the F1 legend is in a crucial situation and that only a miracle would allow his presence in public.
Such remarks are heartbreaking but fans continue to shower their prayers and support for Michael and his family.
Shedding some light and hope are the remarkable statements of Former F1 priest Don Sergio Mantovani on Michael’s health status.
According to wheels24, Mantovani, a famous figure in the F1 paddock for several years, describes Michael’s mutual relationship with Italians.
"He loved Ferrari and we Italians love him. Michael is still a hero here (at Maranello),“ Mantovani said.
"What we saw as a driver and certainly what is true still today is that Michael is a fighter, I know he believes in God, but doesn't go to church," Mantovani elaborated.
When asked about Schumacher's present condition, the priest responded with broad statements.
"I know probably more than I want to say, but recently I have had no contact. I still pray for Michael."
Meanwhile, Schumacher’s 17 year – old son Mick has been following his father’s victory with his successful F4 races and Mantovani admitted to be a fan as well.
“I have been following his racing and hear he is doing well in F4.
