NBA Trade Rumors: Is 76ers Willing To Trade Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor?

Philadelphia 76ers are planning to trade Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor. According to reports, "Philadelphia doesn't believe the two players' talents are complementary." The team needs an outside shooter or guards and trading one of their centers is the best way to get that.

Just this week, 76ers just signed up veteran player, Elton Brand, for a one-year deal so it is very likely that the rumored trade to happen anytime soon. The team has just too many big and center players and there isn't enough time for each to play.

There are speculations that Noel would be a good trade to San Antonio Spurs. Especially now that Tim Duncan is leaving. Without him, the team will solely rely on Matt Bonner, David Lee, and Pau Gasol. All which is according to reports will be ending their NBA careers soon. In this situation, Nerlens Noel would help solidify the team's frontline alongside Kawhi Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge. In exchange of Noel, the San Antonio Spurs can trade Kyle Anderson.

Noels would also be a good trade to New York Knicks. With his defense skills, he could be a good back up for two-time NBA all-star, Joakim Noah or even his substitute. Same goes with Okafor who might also be considered for Knicks. His shooting skills should work well when playing side by side with Kristaps Porzingis.

Jahlil Okafor is the 3rd overall draft in 2015 and Nerlens Noel is the 6th overall in 2013. Both are still young and will surely improve in the coming years. They both proved their potential as a tandem for Philadelphia 76ers in the last season. Unfortunately it is likely that they will have to play against each other in the next season. Unless New York Knicks considers getting both center players for their team.
