"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will be coming back with more love twists. Last season, many couples had questionable endings but it seems like it's gonna be answered now. A new love triangle, a new love interest and an old love coming back.
Last time we saw Meredith and Dr. Nathan Riggs hooking up in secret, but it is revealed that Meredith's half-sister, Maggie, also likes the handsome Dr. Riggs. What will be the future of this three?
Showrunner Shonda Rhimes said there won't be a cat fight, Inquisitr reported. She added that Grey's Anatomy is not the type of show about "a guy coming between two women." Rhimes also said there will be interesting scenes between Maggie and Meredith, as this will be their first serious challenge as sisters.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will also welcome new love lines. Newlywed couple Owen and Amelia may have a rocky start over their quick marriage, but the two similarly having some bad experiences in the past may help them understand and heal each other. Fans may get also get to see Arizona's new love interest as Itechpost previously reported, but it will be within the second half of the season.
Lastly, viewers had been waiting to see what will happen to Alex and Jo. It has been revealed previously that Jo is using a false identity to escape her abusive husband and refuses to marry Alex. "They bonded over their past, and to leave that part of her past out, he's going to feel very betrayed," actor Justin Chambers said about his character, Alex, cited by Inquisitr. It seems like this season will be a roller coaster ride for the two.
A new video teaser of "Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 also shows Alex getting in trouble for assaulting DeLuca. The footage shows Meredith confronting Alex, "You think nobody's going to realize this is you?"
Alex punched DeLuca after seeing him with Jo at the end of Season 12. Meredith warned Alex he might go to jail for his actions. The incident will also create a rift in Grey Sloan, Parent Herald cited.
"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 will be back on ABC on Thursday, September 22.
