Most of Destiny's weaponries are already lethal and powerful in taking down enemies, but making it even more effective is not bad at all. So Bungie announced that it is sweetening the deal by upgrading the old weapons and introducing new ones in the 2.4.0 version. The additional 12 GB patch will "balance the landscape" according to Bungie designer Greg Peng.
"We learn from our success and mistakes, scrutinize player activity from our vast reserves of player data, and come up with a plan of execution. With an expansion, we can change the balance landscape not only by modifying old guns, but also by creating new ones to fill missing roles and satisfy player desires," he added.
Players will soon experience the difference when using the Fabian Strategy because Bungie increased its base range by 16 percent and its stability by 44 percent. It also enables players to hold down the trigger until they eliminate the enemies. On the other hand, Blessing of Light has been removed from the Touch of Malice.
Other Exotics that get some tweaks are Thorn with a reduced base range by 25 percent and Dreg's Promise with an increased damage of 8 percent and bigger magazine size. The Universal Remote also gets its Exotic Perks reduced by 75 percent.
Rifles and Shotguns
The shotgun Immobius is also getting a makeover by increasing its high and middle-low rate of fire damage by two percent while base stability gets a 60 percent increase. This means that the shotgun will have fast uptime, especially during PvP.
Bungie also tweaked a couple of elements in the mid-high impact sniper rifles family. In the previous version, these rifles had zero drawbacks. As Peng explained that they are bringing balance to the newest version, they decreased the damage of mid-high impact sniper rifle by 6.95 percent. They also made the mid-high impacts less reliable in killing high armor guardians.
Aim Deflection or Flinch also gets an increased starting strength and continues to power up after the player makes subsequent hits. The Sniper ADS aim deflection multiplier also gets stronger.
New Weapons Coming Out
There is also a new weapon called the Trespasser, an exotic side-arm weapon which gives off a bigger and longer blast when you reload it after a kill. This is a very reliable weapon when you have to kill multiple enemies most of the time.
The Rise of Iron will also introduce new auto rifles which gives high rate autos just enough bullets when facing multiple enemies. "We do not want players feeling starved for ammo, but creating an opening for opponents to attack is an important part of the "combat dance" for Destiny," according to the Bungie website.
The update is going to be released soon but no specific date has been given yet regarding this matter.
