Nexus Tablet Release: Google Tab Rumored To Come In Next Week At $199

After a surge of rumors, the final word on the Web is that the Google Nexus tablets, which the company is making in collaboration with ASUS, are already out of the factory and are on their way to San Francisco for the official unveiling at this year's Google I/O that will begin on June 27.

DigiTimes, which is known for making accurate predictions about releases and features of various devices in past, has revealed that the Google and ASUS tablet will be ready to hit the shelves within few days of its launch at the Google I/O and will be priced at $199.

To keep the price low, the Nexus tablet will chuck a back-facing camera but will have front-facing snapper for video callings and it will be WiFi-only device and come pre-loaded with Google's Chrome for Android browser.

While for ASUS, DigiTimes has reported that the tablet manufacturer will release its own 7-inch tablet in August, priced at only US$159-179.
