It's only right for 2K Games to up the ante, as NBA 2K17 is nearing its official release date. And true enough, the studio revealed that the fans will have the capability to scan their faces into the game. In one way or another, this will give them the feeling of being inside the game. Here's how it works.
According to the official support site of 2K Games, fans of NBA 2K17 will acquire the feature that'll allow them to scan their faces whenever they like. And what's the catch? They won't be needing either a PlayStation Camera or Kinect Xbox One -- something that the previous installments did.
To scan faces in NBA 2K17, players simply have to have the so-called MyNBA2K17 app. The latter can be downloaded for both iOS and Android on the respective stores. It should be noted, however, that this only works with game's PS4 and Xbox One versions.
Here's how to scan faces in NBA 2K17:
- Set up a MyPlayer account that is connected to both NBA 2K17 and MyNBA 2K17.
- In the aforementioned application, select the button that says "Scan Your Face" (located in the main menu.
- Simply follow the on-screen prompts.
- Viola, you're part of NBA 2K17 already!
Without a doubt, the steps to scanning a player's face in NBA 2K17 are as easy as counting one to three. But of course, it still pays to learn a few tips or so. In fact, the company's site has also provided some tips and/or workarounds for getting the best results in scanning faces.
For instance, NBA 2K17 players need to ensure that there's proper lighting from the front and that there should be less shadow as much as possible. Otherwise, the scans will not be pleasant. Moreover, fans need to hold their phones parallel to their eyes before taking the shot. Or perhaps, do it at around 18 inches away from their faces.
