The movie "Sully" is about a pilot, Chelsey "Sully" Sullenberger, and the plane he piloted, the US Airways Flight 1549. Based on the autobiography of Sullenberger and Jeffrey Zaslow "Highest Duty", Captain Chelsey Sullenberger and his first officer departed LaGuardia Airport with US Airways Flight on January 15, 2009. But only 3 minutes after the flight takes off, the plane hits a flock of Canada geese. This disables the engines of the plane and Sullenberger successfully lands the aircraft in frigid waters, saving all the lives of his crew and passengers.
The captain was first dubbed as a hero for his actions. However, he was later questioned by investigators and reporters about the incident that affects his job, reputation and even family.
The film stars Tom Hanks, Laura Linney, Autumn Reeser, Anna Gunn, Aaron Eckhart, Jamey Sheridan, Holt McCallany, and Jerry Ferrera.
