"Lucifer" Season 2 is just a few days away from release and with all the rumors that surfaced over the past few weeks, fans couldn't help but to get more excited.
This time, another rumor revealed that Chloe's late father, Officer John Decker will return to earth and help his daughter in "Lucifer" Season 2. The said role will be played by "10 Items or Less" star Chris Payne Gilbert.
Officer John Decker Is Going Back To Earth To Help Solve His Murder
In the series, Gilbert will play as Officer John Decker, a beat cop on the LAPD. He was a good man and a better father to Chloe. Unfortunately, John Decker was killed in the line of duty. This led to Chloe giving up her movie career and purse being a detective instead. She was just 19 years old when he died.
After ten years, details of the fateful evening come into question. Chloe will then seize the opportunity to give her father justice. What will be John Decker's role in solving his murder case? How can he be of any help to Chloe?
Gilbert, who is the real-life husband of "Lucifer" star Lesly-Ann Brandt a.k.a. Maze, will reveal the answer when he appears in the seventh episode of season 2.
"Lucifer" Season 2 Still Gets The Green Light Despite Controversial Protest
Amidst the show's success, the renewal of "Lucifer" Season 2 actually came as a surprise for everyone since the first one gained protests and criticisms from religious and conservative groups.
In fact, the "One Million Moms" websites of the "American Family Association" has launched a petition to cancel the show. They claim that the show glorifies Satan and its portrayal of gay, lesbian and bisexual characters. Apparently, the said petition was not successful since the show is now heading for release.
