When Apple held an event on the first week of September, it disclosed all the exciting features of the new iPhone devices. The iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus both come with some groundbreaking changes that fans have not seen Apple make.
For starters, the headphone jack has been completely removed. Also, the devices have been officially designed to be waterproof. However, there are other details about the new iPhones that might have deserved more focus than were originally given.
iPhone 7 Battery Details
According to a GSMArena post, a TENAA listing showed that the new iPhones have indeed increased in battery size. This confirms rumors from months ago saying that the iPhone 7 devices will come with bigger batteries.
The iPhone 7 comes with a 1960 mAh battery, which is amazingly the same figure as what was rumored before. Its predecessor only had a 1715 mAh battery, which means that Apple actually managed to increase the battery size of the new iPhone by 14 percent.
The iPhone 7 Plus also has an increased battery size. According to the post, the larger Apple variant comes with 2900 mAh battery. This is about 150 mAh over the battery size of the iPhone 6S Plus. This may not be as big of an improvement as people might expect, but it's not as bad either.
A 2900 mAh battery is actually a very big step for Apple, especially when compared it to previous iPhones. Furthermore, it is also a good sign that the company is competing with the battery size of most mid-range to high-end Android phones, where a 3000 mAh battery seems to be a minimum standard.
Needless to say, a device's battery size doesn't always indicate its battery life. Chipset performance and display may both affect a phone's battery life. Furthermore, now that the iPhone 7 devices have already been disclosed, it won't take a lot of time until a battery life test will be performed by external sources. Apple actually has battery life claims as well, but fans are usually more excited to see whether Apple's claims would match its followers' battery tests or not.
iPhone 7 Antutu Results
According to the same source, the iPhone 7's Antutu score is quite impressive. The phone managed to score about a third more than what the iPhone 6S got when it first arrived. According to the Antutu benchmark, the OnePlus 3 is the best Android phone performance-wise.
However, the iPhone 7 markedly beats the OnePlus 3 according to recent results. The newly released Apple flagship boasts A10 Fusion chips and a quad-core processor, which can easily beat Android phones' Snapdragon SoC chip in many ways.
