E.L. James is writing another book from the series "Fifty Shades of Grey" and it's all going to be about "Christian Grey". It is a retelling of the second book in the series but from Grey's point of view. In honor of Ana's birthday, the author posts 2 pages of the narrative on Facebook.
The excerpt is taken from the scene while Grey is waiting for Steele outside her office building:
"I want her back. She said she loved me... My heart rate spikes as adrenaline floods my body.No. No. Don't think about that.Calm down, Grey. Focus.I glance once more at the entrance to Seattle Independent Publishing and she's there, walking toward me.Fuck."
The book will be titled "Fifty Shades Darker from Christian's Point of View".
The first three books in the "Fifty Shades" series were told in Anastasia's side of the story. Last June of 2015, the author released the first retelling of the book but in Grey's point of view for book one titled "Grey: Fifty Shades of Grey as Told by Christian".
Many posted their dislike of the first retelling through social media but it has sold more than 1 million copies in just one week and received over 13,000 reviews on Amazon - mostly great.
Meanwhile, its movie adaptation "Fifty Shades Darker" released a preview of its trailer which will be shown in full tomorrow, September 13. The movie is starred by Dakota Johnson playing Anastasia "Ana" Steele and Jamie Dornan as Christian Grey. It is slated for a February 10, 2017 release, and the third movie "Fifty Shades Freed" targets February 9, 2018.
The "Fifty Shades" series is a worldwide hit with its first book selling over 100 million copies and its movie adaptation grossing $571 million.
