NBA Trade Rumors: Knicks' Carmelo Anthony, Derrick Rose To Form Trio With Sophomore Kristaps Porzingis

New York Knicks is currently improving their arsenal to gun for the 2016-17 NBA title with superstars Carmelo Anthony and Derrick Rose teaming up with sophomore Porzingis. Can the veterans combined with the new blood finally match against favorites Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers?

Knicks have started rebuilding their team in June by signing three-time MVP, Derrick Rose. Many are curious to what their combination would bring. Another game-changer in New York Knicks is center/power forward Kristaps Porzingis. The 21-year-old player shocked New York Knicks with his amazing play last season, with an average 14.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks per game.

Also included in the Knicks' super team lineup are Joakim Noah, Courtney Lee, and Brandon Jenning, making the team a lot more powerful. Maxwell Ogden of Daily Knicks admitted that Rose and Noah have already passes their prime but they can still be a good foundation for the team.

"Rose isn't the superstar that he was when he won NBA MVP in 2010-11. He's still one of the most dynamic slashers in the NBA, however, and he joins a team that's in dire need of players who can create penetration. From that perspective, Rose is the perfect player to help alleviate pressure from Anthony on the offensive end of the floor." Ogden said, cited by Sports Rageous.

On the other hand, Porzingis was reported to be spotted practicing with Russell Westbrook as preparation for his team-up with Anthony and Rose in the upcoming Season.

"Offensively, training alongside Westbrook should give Porzingis an idea as to what to expect from Derrick Rose. Rose isn't as explosive as he used to be, but his speed and agility still rank amongst the best in the NBA." Ogden added.

Reports also says New York Knicks is interested in adding Sacramento Kings' shooting guard Ben McLemore to their impressive lineup, whom the Kings just made available.
