After so many cliff-hangers and attempts fallen short, the Spice Girls are reportedly making a huge comeback to join the wide array of talent shows on Television today. The team of three comprised of Melanie B., Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton will be looking for two Spice Girls "wanna-be" to fill the spots of Melanie C. and Victoria Beckham.
Mirror states that the girls are meeting with BBC about the details of the show, but are sure in being an X-Factor rival. The anticipated show is yet to be named.
The lucky girls who will be chosen may perform onstage with the trio next summer at Hyde Park. Just in time for the celebration of the 21st anniversary of the famous group's debut single "Wannabe" which skyrocketed them to fame. Two months ago, Emma Bunton, known as Baby Spice, posted a photo of the three girls expressing gratitude to their fans for sticking with them through thick and thin for over 20 years. The post reads, "We hope to tell you soon what you want, what you really, really want". It concluded with the hashtag wannabe. The Instagram post showed the girls sporting party hats and big smiles.
Fans look forward to the auditions which are set to start on April, according to Echo. The show's format will more likely to follow that of Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End Stars, such as Any Dream Will Do. Currently, the Corporation has one talent show up its sleeves in search for casts of a Take That musical.
As for the other girls, Sporty Spice or Melanie C. told the media she didn't want to make another comeback after their great reunion last 2012 in the London Olympics. She's also being kept busy by a new album. "Version of Me" will be marked as the sixth album the singer released to date. The album will be released under her own record label Red Girl Records.
Victoria Beckham or Posh Spice, on the other hand, shares that her kids know about her Spice Girls Roots. In a report by ET News, Beckham shares "They know the Spice Girls. They know that mommy wore heels and did the pout and point."
Beckham is a mother of three boys and one girl with whom she recently gave birth to last 2011. In the same interview, the designer proudly stated how much she is proud of her family, exclaiming, "We are like a traveling circus, our family. We sing, we dance, we do football, we do fashion!"
