"Girl Meets World" is now currently on its third season and its forthcoming season four has been highly anticipated and pushed by the fans even though it hasn't been confirmed by Disney or any other networks yet.
"Girl Meets World" Online Petition Closed After Getting Almost 50,000 Supporters
One of the top-rated shows on Disney Channel nowadays is "Girl Meets Word," which talks about the lives of two highschool girls and how they tackle with their day-to-day challenges in life. However, now that the series is already on its third season, the characters are already about to graduate from highschool.
Thus, this has led to the assumptions that if Disney pursues the series for more seasons, they will have to deal with mature issues that may not be best fit for the audience of the network. In line with this, a fan of "Girl Meets World" created an online petition to renew the series on another network, Freeform, so that they may be able to tackle more mature issues as they grow up and go into college.
To date, the petition has almost reached their target of 50,000 supporters and just recently been closed. The petition was open to the fans of the series for six months, and now that it has been closed, they are simply waiting for an announcement that they have succeeded with their plans to have "Girl Meets World" renewed for season four.
Still No Definite News On Upcoming Season Four Of "Girl Meets World"
Despite the obvious overflowing support that "Girl Meets World" series has been getting from their fans, there is still no certainty that it is going to be renewed for season four. However, there are still more episodes to come for their third season, and there is still more that the viewers should be anticipating to happen.
Actress Rowan Blanchard, one of the stars of "Girl Meets World" expressed her desire for the series to be renewed for season four, and hopefully more. If so, she and the rest of the cast are definitely on board with reprising their various roles.
