Now that the iOS has already been released, there are people having jailbreaking concerns, this is after the latest jailbreak tool from Pangu was rendered useless by the next iOS update. Luckily, popular iOS hacker Luca Todesco has recently tested jailbreaking the iOS 10 for everyone to see. Todesco once got the internet's limelight for jailbreaking iOS 9.3.4 after the update patched the previous jailbreak.
iOS 9.3.3 Jailbreak Rendered Useless
One of the reasons why a lot of iOS users have been waiting for iOS 10 is because the previous iOS update had a major impact on jailbroken devices. According to sources, people with jailbroken iOS 9.3.3 devices who have updated to the next iOS version, now have useless jailbreaks.
The said patch update by Apple targeted the security of iOS devices. According to the sources, the company is protecting the devices from a spyware that was accessing the devices' messages, emails, locations, calls, and even contacts. This spyware was first caught in August when a suspicious link was sent to Ahmed Mansoor, a human rights activists who did not take any chances and sent the link immediately to Lookout smartphone security firm.
iOS 10 Jailbreak
In a recently released YouTube video, Todesco showed that an iOS 10 jailbreak is possible. This is despite the existence of Apple's KPP or kernel patch protection that severely challenged the jailbreaks of recent versions of iOS.
The said jailbreak demo of Todesco was performed on what looks like an iPad Pro 9.7 device. The video description also says that the demo is for a 64bit-only jailbreak. Furthermore, the jailbreak demonstration might have used a home screen app that is assumed to be an app with jailbreak code that was developed by the hacker himself.
While the said demo was shown to public, the jailbreak tool itself probably won't be released by Todesco. This is why jailbreak fans are looking forward to Pangu's iOS 10 jailbreak tool. IBTimes reported that the Chinese hacking team is working hard on it for fans to enjoy by October.
