'The Originals' Season 4 To Have Fewer Episodes; Will Klaus End Up Dead?

"The Vampire Diaries" spin-off, "The Originals" Season 4 will be back on Netflix after the finale. But aside from fewer episodes, reports are, a vengeful and sadistic vampire is coming for New Orleans and it's after Klaus Mikaelson's (Joseph Morgan) head. Will someone from "The Vampire Diaries" come and save him?

Latest spoilers on CDL said that this vampire will use every evil method possible to enact revenge. There are no details on whether the vampire is male or female or if is someone we already knew from the series. But, it appears that it will approach Vincent (Yusef Gatewood) first before a deadly battle with Klaus.

There are many suspects among the Mikaelson family's enemies but the same report says Nina Dobrev will be appearing on the series to play the role of Katherine Pierce, a vampiress whom Klaus had been hunting for in centuries.

Klaus will need to get all the help he can. Season 3 ended with Klaus being sentenced for sins and while the series is set on a five-year time jump, Klaus will be in a weakened state after waking up from his pain-induced coma.

The report further teases that the Mikaelson siblings will be reunited as Rebecca Mikaelson (Claire Hold) to the new Orleans. On another report, showrunner Micheal Narducci hints on possible crossover with "The Vampire Diaries" which will be heading to its conclusion soon.

Narducci also talked to TV Line about Klaus' family and his daughter Hope. "She was two years old when we left her ... and she's now a little person.. She's got dialogue and hopes and dreams, and she misses her dad and understands her family has suffered a great loss. ... Hayley's a great mom."

"The Originals" Season 4 will air around January or February next year, eight days after the conclusion of "The Vampire Diaries." Instead of the usual 22 episodes, the series will only have 13.
