NBA Trade Rumors: Warriors Willing To Give Up Draymond Green And Shaun Livingston For Pelicans’ Anthony Davis

The Golden State Warriors have the best roster to date but the team is not totally secured.

Rumors revealed that despite having the power of four in Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Klay Thompson and Kevin Durant, the Warriors are actively shopping to sign a deal with New Orleans Pelicans’ Anthony Davis.

Real GM reported that Davis could return to the basketball arena after getting his medical clearance. To recall, the power forward / center went through a knee surgery 6 months ago that caused restrictions in his playing career.

With a better Davis now, the Warriors take this healthy opportunity to ink a contract with him.

ESPN’s NBA Trade Machine revealed a successful trade between the Golden State and the New Orleans.
Power forward Draymond Green and point guard Shaun Livingston make an ideal duo to be moved to the Pelicans in exchange for Davis.

Will this swap ensure a win – win situation for both clubs? Will Davis display incredible performances after undergoing surgeries and treatments?

Sports Rageous noted that the suggested deal is not beneficial to the Pelicans for now. Letting go of their three-time NBA All-Star is a big risk that they could not afford unless Davis continues to suffer complications of his injuries.

As with the Golden State, giving up All-Star Green and Livingston will not hurt. Although Green has his versatility to offer in the court, his number of controversies may be a reason to let him go.

The Warriors will maximize Davis’ strong defensive skills. Joining Curry and Durant’s expertise, they can expect a powerful trio that will nab next season’s championship title.

Both camps have not dropped hints nor released statements about the possibility of this trade. Should it happen, we can say that GSW must really be lucky in acquiring another big hit in their group after Durant’s entrance.
