Apple revealed a number of new products during its iPhone Fall event, with the iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus sharing the spotlight. There was no surprise one more thing at the end of the show - though you could argue that Apple started with one: Super Mario for iPhone.
That means we did not get the chance to see a brief MacBook announcement during the event that was centered on mobile devices and their operating systems. But Apple is expected to upgrade some of its Mac products this year, and Tim Cook gave hints that it is going to happen sooner than we might suspect.
Apple to reveal updated MacBook Pro redesign
Late reports indicate that Apple would reveal a redesigned MacBook Pro sooner or later this Fall, likely in October. Apple is yet to declare another media event, but Tim Cook answer to a reader's email certainly looks like a confirmation that something is in works.
Tim Cook gives Apple fans hope
"I love the Mac, and we are very committed to it. Stay tuned," Cook said in an email reply to a MacRumors reader inquiring about the 2016 MacBook Pro update. According to the site, the email seems to originate from Apple's corporate servers, making it a legitimate source.
The most recent reports claimed that Apple has a bunch of new Macs in the development and are being prepared for an up and coming fall release, including the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models and also new iMacs.
MacBook to receive most significant upgrades
The MacBook Pro may get the most impressive updates and upgrades, as the iconic Apple laptop is going to get a major makeover. The laptop will be a lot more slender and lighter than its predecessors, and it will feature a secondary OLED touch display atop the keyboard. The MacBook Air, in meanwhile, is receiving USB-C ports, reports claimed, and the new iMac models will get AMD graphics.
