The hit TV series "Lucifer" Season 2 will make its comeback in a few days and fans can expect new twists and turns in the series' storyline.
As previously reported, "Lucifer" Season 2 will pick up with Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and his brother, Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) on a mission to search for their mother, Charlotte (Tricia Helfer) following her escape from the gates of hell in season 1.
"Lucifer" Season 2: Meet The "Mum from Hell"
Charlotte is the newest addition to the hit series. Based on her official character description, she wants to spend some time with her sons in "Lucifer" Season 2. However, it still remains unclear if she is seeking revenge for being stuck in Hell for many years.
"Lucifer" Season 2 Executive Producer Joe Henderson recently revealed that the sequel's plot will focus more on the "mum from hell". He also revealed Charlotte's agenda in escaping from Hell and coming to Earth is "very emotional and very genuine." However, it will "shift" later on the show.
Jealousy Between Brothers
On the other hand, Henderson also revealed that Amenadiel is a bit jealous of Lucifer since God ordered him to find their mother instead of him. Another source of the said jealousy is Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandit). Amenadiel has fallen for Mazikeen but she turned on him for Lucifer which led into a big brawl.
"At the beginning of Season 2, I think we're going to find him trying to figure out what his relationship is with Maze," Woodside says. "I think he is going to be experiencing some heartache of being dumped."
Meanwhile, Lucifer finds himself falling for Detective Chloe Decker (Lauren German). Apparently, Chloe is the reason why he stayed on Earth longer than he was supposed to. Will this lead to Charlotte hurting Chloe in order to get her son back home?
"Lucifer" Season 2 is also expected to introduce a new Angel. Uriel, to be portrayed by Michael Imperioli, will make its way on Earth following the reunion of Charlotte and her sons in Los Angeles.
