Far Cry 3 – New Release Dates Revealed

“Far Cry” fans may have to wait a tad more for the highly anticipated “Far Cry 3.” As per a new announcement made by Ubisoft, “Far Cry 3” will be released on December 4 in the U.S. and on November 29 in Europe, Middle East and Africa.

The reason, as usual, for this delay in release is because Ubisoft, apparently, needs more time to further polish it and produce a highly admirable end result that can compete with other major released this year.

According to a previous Official PlayStation Magazine report, “Far Cry 3” was due to release at the end of 2011. A quote suggested that time, "Start taking the malaria medicine in preparation: Far Cry 3 could be arriving before the end of the year."

However, this statement was later withdrawn in the next month's edition and mentioned that the game would be shown at 2011's E3 and that the release date would be delayed to 2012. Nonetheless, the first official trailer for the game was released at the 2011 E3 conference on June 6, 2011.

“We’re taking more time to create the best possible gameplay experience. Far Cry 3 is a huge offering and we want every element of this insane, action-packed adventure to be of the highest possible quality for the players,” said Dan Hay, producer at Ubisoft, according to a DSOGaming report.

Now, the game’s arrival has been further delayed as the developers are planning to add more zest to the upcoming game.

"Far Cry 3" takes place on a tropical island somewhere at the junction of the Indian and Pacific Oceans, and will run on the integrated Dunia Engine that was used for “Far Cry 2” but will use an advanced water tech to provide more depth to the gameplay experience.
