PlayStation fans are set to get a new firmware update. According to the new reports, there’s a new firmware update for the PlayStation 3 arriving today. What’s more, the new update will be adding a host of helpful new features.
The new update brings with it a boat-load of enhancements for those of you using stereo wireless headsets (including support for the new official Sony one), allowing you to play with volume controls (sidetone adjustments included), as well as enable virtual surround when you’re playing Blu-rays.
The new update also enables timed auto-shutdown settings and makes copying multiple saved games easier. Another change is the one that deals with the PS3’s browser. Although it’s still based on Flash 9, it will now only ask you to allow plug-ins once per session (instead of for every single instance).
The update is available right now and here’s the list of changes, according to GAF, most of which have been already confirmed by the PS Blog.
