After facing off for two finals, it looks like a trade is about to happen between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors with Andre Iguodala in exchange of Iman Shumpert?
Lebron James To Be Joined By Andre Iguodala In The Cleveland Cavaliers Next Season?
After the Cleveland Cavaliers secured Lebron James into their team last summer with a $99.8 million contract, it has managed to lose other valuable players as well. They will still be in need of other players to ensure a spot in the finals next season.
As for the Golden State Warriors, Kevin Durant from the OKC Thunders just signed with them and it may look good for the team. However, they are losing some valuable players in the trade-off as well. Hence, there are speculations that their player Andre Iguodala be traded off to Cavaliers for Iman Shumpert.
Shumpert And Iguodala Both Make A Good Defense
Based on fans' opinions, Shumpert and Iguodala are both equally good in the defense. However, Shumpert is reportedly a better three-pointer than Iguodala, which would make him a greater asset for the Warriors. Iguodala on the other hand would be fit for the Cavaliers in defense and would be a great ally to Lebron James.
Given Iman Shumpert's arrest recently and charges of DUI, it is likely that he will be traded off. However, his personal issues does not make him any less of a valuable player, thus there are other teams that will be in need of his skills.
Andre Iguodala More Offensive Defense Compared To Iman Shumpert
The Cleveland Cavaliers are definitely aiming to win the finals again in the next season following their victory last time. There have been reports that although both players are great on the defense, Iguodala is more offensive in that sense.
There has been no final word on the trade yet, but since Iguodala is already on his last year with his contract with the Golden State Warriors, there are chances he may consider being traded off to the reigning champions.
