According to Parent Herald, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe dating rumors started since Outlader Season 1. The tandem have such amazing chemistry that fans are hoping they would end up together.
On his Twitter account last Wednesday, Sam Heughan wrote: "Congrats too the wifey and thanks to the strong fan vote!!!x." Caitriona Balfe won the Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series Award in Entertainment Weekly's Poppy.
Another post shows a photo of a cupcake with the caption:"Yay!!! They found us! Thank you @OutlandishBaker YUUUUUUUM!!!! Need that sugar! Might save @caitrionambalfe one.." Sweet isn't it?
However, the 36-year-old actor previously addressed the Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe dating rumors on E! News, cited CDL, saying that fans might have mistaken their close relationship.
"We're not together. We've always said from the get go that we're incredibly great friends. And to have that friendship and that closeness and to be able to get along as we do on set, it's great that we're able to get along that well. We're not together. I'm sorry to break people's hearts. They like to try to maybe replicate the Claire and Jamie story. But I think it would be difficult for us to work together and be together," he said.
Still, fans are interested what's going on between the two on and off screen.
Recent spoilers on Game Guide suggest that Jamie Fraser (Heughan) and Claire Randall (Balfe) are filming their reunion scene in 'Outlander' Season 3 inside a print shop. This has triggered rumors that the two will be shooting more bed scenes this season due to their long separation.
On the same report, insiders claim that the two are endlessly flirting off cam. "Sam and Caitriona were taking a short break between scenes when I saw them off to the side, holding hands and Sam was even whispering in her ear," the source said. "She was laughing at whatever he said and well, they looked like an ordinary couple."
