Prague, Czech Republic-based video game developer Bohemia Interactive’s upcoming open world tactical shooter game “Arma 3,” which is expected to be one of the best games of 2013, has now received a host of new screenshots providing more insight into the upcoming game.
Although the game looks great, we still feel that a little bit of work is still left to be done by the developers before the game finally hits the stands next year. The new screenshots have actually revealed how wonderful the game will be when it arrives, but a bit more attention to the minor details can make it a huge prospect for gamers all over the world.
“Arma 3” is set in the near future (2030s) where NATO is trying to hold off a large offensive from the east. In the campaign the player will take the role of British Special Forces soldier Captain Scott Miller and will face everything from lone wolf infiltration missions to commanding of large scale armored operations.
The game will take place on the Mediterranean islands of Limnos and Stratis (Greece) and will offer photo-realistic terrain and water environments. The game-world, which is 900 square kilometers, will be the largest yet seen in the Arma series. The islands will also feature over 50 villages with buildings that are both enter-able and destroyable.
According to the game’s official page, “Set in a massive military sandbox – with a huge variety of vehicles and weapons – together with major improvements to lighting, sounds and animations in a brand new version of the Real Virtuality engine, Arma 3 sends players to war in the gameplay-driven solo campaign and multiplayer game modes.”
“Arma 3” is set to arrive on PC in the fourth quarter of 2013.
