It was reported yesterday that a possible nest migration is coming. As of today, it isnow confirmed that it is actually happening and is scheduled within this week. Since the day that Pokemon Go was released, there are already two recorded nest migrations.
According to Vine Report, nest migrations usually occur during every major update done on the game. The scenario brings confusion to the players at first. However, as the game goes on, it was discovered that Niantic had done the rotations intentionally to bring new adventure to the players and to keep them going. These said nests are said to be a location where a certain Pokemon spawn rate is high. Apparently, Niantic never rolled out a list of nest changes on their patch notes which forces players to do a trial and error method. In addition, some of the players are constantly analyzing some patterns in order to keep track on these nests whenever migrations will occur.
Vine Report also mentions that trainers are creating a Nest Atlas in order to simplify the tracking of these shuffled nests. It was explained that the any of the members could easily record every encountered nests on their respective areas.
Based on the reports from Otakukart, migrations made a major change on the nests where it affects the generation of Pokemon and the IV acquired by a certain spawned creature. It was reported that Pokemon that spawns from a clustered nest tends to have lower and terrible IV. However, it seems that clustered nests are the only affected nest type on these said migrations which both frequent spawn area and frequent spawn points still generates Pokemon with a high stat.
In addition, discovered nests can only generate a Pokemon in their base form and there still no reported nests that yield an already evolved Pokemon. It seems like trainers are now slowly adapting into these rotations as more reported major updates are set to arrive any time soon such as Trading, Trainer Battles and the most hyped Gen 2.
