iPhone 8 Rumors: iPhone 7 Could Give Clues on Apple's Big Launch Next Year

After the highly anticipated release of the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus, many Apple fans are disappointed since the new phones are just like the iPhone 6 and 6s with some minor upgrades. Knowing Apple's flair for saving the best features for a big launch, the newest iPhone may give users some clue about next year’s iPhone 8.

Rumor has it that Apple is saving the big guns for next year which coincides with its iPhone's 10th anniversary.

A New Wireless Experience

Among the new features of the iPhone, the greatest shock was the removal of the headphone jack and the introduction of AirPod. As Apple marketing executive Phil Schiller stated during the launch, being tethered to a mobile device "makes no sense."

This could also indicate that the company is planning to get rid of all wires and push for wireless charging. Samsung has been the first to offer this feature in its Galaxy S7.

Faster Bluetooth Connectivity

With a new Bluetooth update which promises twice the speed and four times the range of the old Bluetooth in the making, Apple could address concerns over going wireless. Bluetooth 5 is due for release next year which coincides with Apple's iPhone launch.

Then, there's WiGig, another wireless feature that enables 4K video streaming which gives users another reason to love the wireless trend.

Phantom Home Button

Apple may have found a way to increase screen size without making phones any bigger. Their new virtual home button, made possible by haptics, allows users to use any part of the device as a virtual home button.

Emphasis On Augmented Reality

Dual cameras are capable of depth sensing, 3D, zooming photos and more. With Tim Cook's belief that augmented reality is better than virtual reality, there's much promise that these cameras are meant for a more exciting experience. "Pokemon Go" is just the start of an augmented reality invasion

More Subtle Clues

Apple introduced a premium ceramic watch which, according to it, is four times stronger than stainless steel. This could be a signal that the iPhone 8 would be ceramic too!

With a year's wait ahead, getting used to iPhone 7 and its new features is the main priority of many Apple fans right now. It may be a bit early to speculate about the iPhone 8 but knowing Apple, the company is probably on the second phase of developing a flagship phone that could change the smartphone history.
