NBA Trade Rumors: Will A 3 – Player Deal Among Russel Westbrook, Derrick Rose & Kristaps Porzingis Work?

In the rumor mill of NBA’s trade of basketball stars, a three-player arrangement is likely to happen in the playing skills of Oklahoma City Thunder’s Russel Westbrook and New York Knicks’ Kristaps Porzingis.

If both ball clubs will arrive into a mutual agreement, a blockbuster deal is not far from reality. Point guard Westbrook leads the race against the two young players as his stellar records display his impressive list of recognitions being hailed as a five-time NBA All-Star, a two-time NBA All-Star Game Most Valuable Player (MVP), and a five-time All-NBA Team member.

The Knicks is more than lucky to feast on the remarkable victories that Westbrook could guarantee them.
Westbrook contributed a stunning performance in the 2015-16 NBA Season. He was one of the top candidates for the season’s MVP award, which eventually went to Stephen Curry. Westbrook was reported to punctuate an average of 23.5 points, 7.8 rebounds, 2.0 steals and 10.4 assists per game last season.

As with the potential swaps of Knicks to the Thunder, Derrick Rose was dubbed as the youngest player to win the NBA Most Valuable Player Award in 2011 but has struggled with injuries since his MVP season. His performance in the market is monitored if he can deliver well in the early part of the 2016-2017 season. Meanwhile the 21 – year old power forward Porzingis is foreseen by basketball analysts as an upcoming superstar because of his size, skill set, and great mental composition on the court.

However, this big swap is not going to happen, not now. Westbrook just signed a three-year contract extension with Oklahoma City for a an expensive rate of $85 million. When the bond is no longer valid, New York is sure to persuade Russell in every chance that they can just to acquire him.
