Upcoming Korean drama "The K2" starring Ji Chang Wook and Girls' Generation's Yoona hints action-packed scenes in recent stills. According to reports, Ji Chang Wook would do all the action stunts himself without a body double and the drama would be using a technique called time slice photography, a first in Korean Drama History.
The action series involves a lot of fight scenes which is choreographed using a system of Russian combat martial art, Japanese martial art aikido, Korean self-defense martial art taekwondo, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Soompi reported. "The K2" will also be the first Korean drama to use time slice photography, a camera technique used in action movies such as "The Matrix"

"The K2" Korean drama features the story of a bodyguard and his fateful meeting with an isolated young woman in her twenties. Ji Chang Wook will play the role of Kim Je-ha, a mercenary under JSS special forces who became a fugitive and was later hired as a body guard while Im Yoona will play Go Anna, the illegitimate daughter of a presidential candidate. She grew up surrounded with public interest making him fear people and suffer panic attacks when exposed to bright flashing lights.
Ji Chang Wook made a name in drama series "Smile Again" and recently starred in action series "Healer." On the other hand, Yoona was seen on rom-com "Cinderella Man" and in melodrama "
According to reports Ji Chang Wook was practicing martial arts as preparation for his fight scenes where he decided not to use a stuntman. The actor is also the highest-paid star of cable channel tvN to date.
"We do not want Ji's fee to become an issue. In consideration of publication rights, tvN made the arrangement to give Ji a high pay due to his involvement in other projects in Japan and China," a representative from Ji Chang Wook's agency said according to Asia Starz.
"The K2" will be aired on tvN replacing "Cinderella and the Four Knights" which will end in two weeks.
