Pokemon Go Safety Tips
Pokemon Go players are advised to travel in groups whenever they go out at night to play the game. They should also avoid dark places and stay in well-lighted areas. Pokemon Go players should also be aware and should stay alert especially at night.
Rickeybot was clearly in a well-lighted section of the park. He also made several Twitch streams in Central Park and also Twits his streams in advance. It seems the Pokemon Go streamer was taking all the necessary precautions. However, he was alone that night and his small frame made him an easy target for the heavy-built mugger.
Reports of Pokemon Go players getting mugged and robbed are not isolated incidents. This is one of the rare times however, that an actual mugging is recorded live and in front of an online audience. The mugger will have a hard time denying his crime especially when more than a dozen people can identify him.
