According to some reports, the two may be saved by Damon's brother, Stefan and the witch, Bonnie. It hasn't been confirmed by the actress yet that she will return to "The Vampire Diaries" season eight since it will already be the last season of the series. However, since she hasn't denied any of these speculations, plus Julie Plec's constant statement of her return, it looks positive to the fans of the actress. The next question now is how will Nina Dobrev return to the show? Is she going to return as Elena or Katherine?
Many fans of the show, especially the fans of the Damon-Elena (Delena) tandem are hoping that Nina Dobrev will come back as Elena Gilbert and reunite with Damon.
