'Transformers: The Last Knight' Packed With Explosions, Car Chases And Wizardry

Michael Bay's "Transformers: The Last Knight," which is the fifth installment of the "Transformers" series, appears to be the most expensive film yet. Avid fans of the movie are raving non-stop as they first sighted the Autobots and Decepticons strolling its way on set in London. The excitement mounts with the stunts, car chases and flying debris the "Transformers" team have in store and are known for.

With some of its story taking place in the past and characters including King Arthur and Merlin appearing in the film, "Transformers: The Last Knight" will not only boast its technologically advanced supercars and hair-raising explosives, but the viewers will also get a glimpse of something the "Harry Potter" fans have always been familiar to. One of the movie's shooting location is the Alnwick Castle in Northumbria, which is most commonly known as Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

The castle was used for the first two "Harry Potter" films for the Hogwarts exterior shot, as well as other medieval-themed movies since it is considered an iconic landmark in the U.K. Dark Horizons reported that King Arthur's element in the story will transpire in this castle and so during weekends. The film crew are scattered on the castle grounds while the special effects team are busy creating the astonishing explosion shots that fans definitely look forward to in this movie.

Filming of the "Transformers: The Last Knight" has been going around the United Kingdom and is expected to be held in areas like London and North East.

Mark Wahlberg, 45, returns as the aspiring inventor which he previously played in "Transformers: Age of Extinction." While Anthony Hopkins, who is a real-life knight, will join the "Transformers 5" cast for the first time.

"Nobody understands the ramifications of what the government will do to anybody who holds a transformer," Wahlberg previously told Screenrant. "There's no trying to settle things peacefully, he added.

The "Transformers" series, executive produced by Steven Spielberg, has grossed a total of over $3.7 billion worldwide.
