The Cleveland Cavaliers are highly expected to retain their winning status after earning their historical victory in the recently concluded NBA Championship. Just as the Golden State Warriors’ have sealed their powerful package of four in Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, the Cavaliers are yet to boost their squad led by basketball legend Lebron James.
Two big names in the industry joined the rumor mill to furnish an epic roster in Cavs. New Orleans Pelicans point guard Norris Cole and Golden State Warriors’ Andre Iguodala have the skills and capabilities of superstars that the Cavaliers highly needed.
As a free agent, Cole can consider re-uniting with James whom he had worked previously during their heydays in Miami Heat. Cavs Head coach Tyronn Lue can maximize the playing proficiency of the two-time NBA champion as he is believed to make an ideal replacement of key player Matthew Dellavedova who joined Milwaukee Bucks this summer.
Andre Iguodala is another perfect guy in the list. His impressive set of awards makes him the shooting guard that any league would actively shop for. The swingman has earned the NBA All-Star and Most Valuable Player titles. He also gave pride to the US with gold medals in FIBA World Championship and Summer Olympics.
However, snatching Iguodala from the Warriors seem to be an impossible plan as his current club would not let him go. His versatility as a shooting guard and small forward makes him a strong player for the second unit in the Warriors' lineup hence GSW will keep an eye on retaining him and will not allow any deal to come into fruition in breaking their powerful unit.
Should the Cavs acquire Cole and Iguodala, another tough rivalry awaits between them and the Golden State Warriors making the next NBA season highly exciting.
