Angelina Jolie Files For Divorce From Brad Pitt; Actress' Father Believes 'Something Very Serious Happened'

"Brangelina" no more! Fans of the long-term power couple were heart-broken following the news that Angelina Jolie has filed for divorce from Brad Pitt on Monday.

Jolie cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason and is seeking sole physical custody of their six children. She also allegedly asked the judge to give Pitt visitation rights only. Jolie's lawyer also revealed that the actress is not asking for spousal support.

TMZ reports that sources close with the couple revealed that Jolie's decision has something to do with Pitt's parenting method.

Jolie is apparently "fed up" with Pitt's consumption of weed and possibly alcohol, mixed with "an anger problem." She felt that it became dangerous for their children.

"This decision was made for the health of the family. She will not be commenting, and asks that the family be given its privacy at this time." one of Jolie's lawyers said

TMZ also reported that there was no "third person" involved and the decision was solely over Pitt's interaction with their children.

Immediately after the news broke out, Pitt released a statement to People, asking for privacy.

"I am very saddened by this, but what matters most now is the wellbeing of our kids," he said. "I kindly ask the press to give them the space they deserve during this challenging time."

Meanwhile, Jolie's father, Jon Voight has expressed his sadness and concern over the matter in an interview with Inside Edition.

"It's very sad," the 77-year-old said in an interview to air Tuesday. "Something very serious must have happened for Angie to make a decision like this."

"I don't know what it is," he told Inside Edition, adding, "Say a little prayer." Voight also added that he hopes to see her daughter and the children soon.

The power couple married in August 2014 and have been together since 2004 with.
