Smarter Than iMessage, Say Hello To Google Allo

The King of Search Engine has just created a brilliant messaging mobile app better than the other apps in the market.

Google Allo or simply "Allo" was announced at Google I/O on May 18, 2016 and was launched today. Allo is available on both Android and iOS phones.

Allo is plain and simple not like the other messaging apps such as iMessage and WhatsApp. Why Allo? What's with Allo? Is it free?

One of the best features of Google Allo is the Smart Reply. Basically it reads messages and pictures and then offers a quick contextual response. Let us say a friend sends a picture of a baby, Smart Reply would then suggest responses such as "wow", "aww", or even "cute".

Incognito chats is also available in Google Allo. Incognito chats allow you to send a message and set time for it to expire. You can set it in five seconds, 30 minutes, a day, a week, a month, or never. The blueprint of Incognito chat in Allo is same with Google Chromes'. The familiar spy icon is seen on the background, which means hackers and even FBI can't read your messages.

"Allo is our second play in the consumer space that, just like Duo, it uses your phone number as the identity, your phone as the graph, which is obviously filled with people, friends, and family you're most likely to connect with," Amit Fulay, product manager for Allo, informed Digital Trends.

"Communications, and especially messaging, happens to be the prime use case for a mobile user," Fulay added. "We believe messaging is still in some ways still in its infancy. Even though there are a lot of applications, a lot of competition, I think it's just the beginning of all the iterations that can be done in messaging."

Allo is for free. You can download the app on Google Store.
