Pokemon Go critics are pointing out that Niantic needs to add more content to the game. Failure to do so will further erode its Pokemon Go player base.
Pokemon Go - Not Enough Content For Veteran Players
New and casual gamers of Pokemon Go can still find a lot of things to do in the game. But veteran players who have reached the above 25th level are finding the game a little bit boring. There have been reports that millions of Pokemon Go players have quit the game since it first rolled out on July of this year.
Critics are estimating that around 40 percent of the current Pokemon Go players will leave the game before the end of October. This is probably the reason why Niantic is rolling out new features such as trading system and multiplayer battle mode. However, Niantic has yet to set a date for these new features and their mechanics are still not clear as of press time.
Possible Pokemon Go Content Update
Gaming Industry observers made a few suggestions as to what kind of contents Niantic can add in Pokemon Go. Hopefully, this will not only help retain players but also convince more people to join in. One possible feature is the player versus player battle mode. This feature will be different from the gym battles. This will also pave the way for Trainer Ladders that can start every season.
Pokemon Go is an augmented reality game (ARG). But Niantic can integrate it further to the real world. The developer can introduce climate controlled spawn points, quests or even international and local events. Niantic can also introduced new Pokemon Go modes such as domination, capture the flag, team matches, attack or defend treasure.
Pokemon Go Patch or Update Frequency
Frequent patch updates is also another way of keeping Pokemon Go interesting. The developer can release patches at least four times a year. A generation of Pokemon Go should also be introduced at least once a year.
