Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 – Nuketown 2025 Multiplayer DLC Released

Treyarch and Activision’s ‘Nuketown’ map, which has been one of the most popular multiplayer maps in “Call of Duty: Black Ops,” is now being re-imagined for the eagerly anticipated release of the companies’ upcoming title “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.”

The Nuketown 2025 multiplayer map is set to be available with launch units of “Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.” What this means is that anyone who pre-orders the game at participating retailers worldwide will get their copy of the new game at launch, which will include the Nuketown 2025 downloadable bonus map.

According to Mark Lamia, Studio Head of Treyarch, as per a DSOGaming report, “Multiplayer fans of Call of Duty: Black Ops LOVE Nuketown. Flat out, Nuketown was a blast to play before, and we’re excited about the reimagined Nuketown 2025 in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. We can’t wait to play with everyone come this November.”

Nuketown takes place in a nuclear test site designed to simulate a typical American neighborhood. The map itself started out as an "unofficial" project for Level Designer Adam Hoggatt. He then took the idea and had a working design up and running in only two days. It was quickly a favorite among the Black Ops developers.

Now reimagined in a 60's depiction of the "Model Home of the Future", Nuketown 2025 is set to take that familiar close-quarter chaos into the future.

“Call of Duty: Black Ops 2” is set for a worldwide release on November 13, 2012.
