Considering that flagship phones are being released almost on a monthly basis, fans can't help but compare devices with each other. When Samsung released the Note 7, it was almost immediately compared with Apple's then unofficial iPhone 7.
Now that the iPhone 7 has already been released, it is now being compared to the new flagship from LG, the V20. However, as far as speed tests are concerned, it looks like the iPhone 7 smashes every other flagship phone.
Apple Flagships Faster Than Competitors
It's interesting how Apple is able to beat other smartphones when it comes to speed tests, when in fact, the iPhones' specs are usually inferior to its competition. This simply goes to show that specs written on paper can't always ensure the device's actual performance.
If you can recall a while back, the Galaxy Note 7 and the iPhone 6S were also compared through a speed test, and the older iPhone still beats the newly-released Samsung device. That test involved opening and closing multiple apps, and it showed that the Note 7 lagged just a few seconds after starting. The 6S on the other hand, finished the test twice, without a single lag.
This brings in interest on how fast the new iPhone 7 is. A recent AnTuTu result showed that the device is way ahead of its top competitors with a score of 178,393. Phone Arena reported that the iPhone 7 score shattered records.
The LG V20, on the other hand, has scored 130,864 on the same benchmarking test, Forbes reported. It's not a bad score. In fact, it is also quite impressive. However, it is a bit far from the iPhone 7's numbers. Do keep in mind, however, that these scores do not necessarily measure a specific part of the devices. It is actually a comprehensive benchmarking application that measures the overall performance of the devices.
Apple iPhone 7 vs LG V20 Speed Test
A YouTube video from a channel called Tech of Tomorrow showed that the LG V20 couldn't keep up with the iPhone 7 when it comes to a speed test similar with the one conducted on the Note 7 and 6S. Although no lag occurred in the LG V20, it is very clear that the iPhone 7 loads up the apps way faster compared to the LG V20. On the iPhone 7, the apps open up in just one tap. The LG V20 on the other hand, takes one or two more seconds before the apps open up after one tap. This goes to show that the iPhone is still pretty much unbeatable when it comes to speed.
Nonetheless, this doesn't mean that the LG V20 is no good. In fact, it is still one of the best phones to be released this year. It's got unique look, amazing cameras, and a really good set of internal specs. However, for people who are after smooth navigation and fast processors, the Apple iPhone 7 is probably your best bet.
