The first season of "One Punch Man" aired on Toonami in July and even though the season only has 12 episodes, it has garnered a lot of viewers worldwide.
While "One Punch Man" season 1 is not yet over in Toonami, there is already a public clamor about the release date of the second season. Recent reports have speculated that "One Punch Man" season 2 will start airing before the Halloween season.
So what's in it for the fans this coming season 2 of "One Punch Man?"
According to some plot spoilers, Saitama might face his most powerful enemy, Garou. Some fans who are familiar with the manga series might remember Garou as the only character to survive the very powerful punch of Saitama.
This follows the Hero Hunter arc story where the Hero Association is under the threat on an unknown evil presence. The evil presence being Garou who had vowed to destroy the most powerful hero, the Monster Association. Will Saitama finally face his first defeat?
In another report, it is rumored that "One Punch Man" season 2 is going to show more about Saitama's origin. This is a bit of a deviation from the original manga which only showed a few scenes of Saitama before getting bald from training. Fans will surely get excited to know more about Saitama's back story.
Rumor has it that "One Punch Man" season 2 will have 19 episodes which is more than what the first season had. But due to that, it puts a little doubt that the second season will be released this October. Plus, add to the fact that the first season covered all seven volumes of the manga.
Fans will have to hold their breath on this one though and wait for the official announcement of the premiere of "One Punch Man" season 2.
